Whalers Brewing Company

This brewery is fantastic, but getting in can feel like a puzzle! Seriously, finding the entrance was a challenge worthy of an escape room. The GPS directs you to the back of the mill, and even if you manage to find the front, you still have to navigate a maze to reach the main doors, which are just ordinary, closed warehouse doors. However, once you finally step inside, it’s a pretty cool experience!

Spacious and inviting atmosphere with reliable beers. One of the standout features is the option to host gatherings at no cost.

The taproom is spacious, offering ample seating and a dog-friendly environment. While they don't serve food on-site, you're welcome to bring your own, and they usually have a food truck available on weekends. Keep in mind that the taproom can be a bit tricky to locate; it's situated at the far back corner of the complex, so be sure to look for the banner. The tanks and trucks featuring the Whalers logo are associated with the brewing and bottling facility, not the taproom itself.

Its amazing to see the growth of a local brewing company over the past 6 years that I've been going. Sadly I don't get out to the Wakefield Area as much as I would like to, being that I'm about an hour drive from the brewery. Thankfully the whalers rise is making its way into almost every very local establishment, as well as package stores. Almost always have some in my beer fridge, as it's my favorite! Whether you bring to go food with you or order from the food truck there are now booths to sit and eat while you taste multiple seasonal brews. Plenty of games to partake in as well as sometimes music. The staff is friendly and very helpful with choosing the style of brew that will compliment your food or a flavor profile of choice. This is a very kid and dog friendly establishment, so bring them all.Cheers

Cool place! Cornhole, pool. Bring your dogs and cats, and apparently kids and babies, too, while you grab a flight of beers! Free water bottles for your DD. Too bad our gathering got cut short and we had to evacuate the building. Not sure why...nothing visible happened that we could see, but the alarm sounded and the firetrucks came to check it out. Well, it was fun while it lasted! We'd definitely go back again! ?
