The Palmer Arms - South Bucks

We recently moved nearby and have visited this restaurant a few times for enjoyable meals. For Christmas, we decided to try their Christmas Dinner, which was advertised on their festive menu online. Despite booking well in advance, we were seated at a busy and poorly located table. Sadly, there was nothing festive on the table or in the atmosphere, and the staff did not acknowledge the holiday season. When we mentioned we had booked for the festive menu, the server informed us that it was not available on Sundays, even though it was advertised online and we had specifically requested it when booking. After some confusion, we were only given one festive menu for the four of us. The food turned out to be bland and tasteless, with small portions and no festive touches like crackers. Our past experiences at this restaurant were positive, but this Christmas Dinner was disappointing. We had a much better experience at another restaurant for Christmas in the past, so it's possible to have a great holiday meal out. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for a festive family outing.

I went to this restaurant for my birthday with my family. Luke and Ava were fantastic, providing excellent service. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area!

My family and I went out for dinner at this restaurant to celebrate my son's birthday. We had an excellent server named Luke who was very friendly and attentive. The food arrived promptly and was delicious, including the roast dinners, Cajun chicken burger, and Mac and cheese. We also enjoyed the tasty chocolate cherry tart for dessert. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

We visited last Saturday a party of 28. The standard of both the food and the service was excellent. Despite being exceptionally busy we had not one complaint. We will definately be back next year, thankyou.

Called for a takeaway for five of us. Was told it would be 20mins but when my wife and son in law got to the pub it was very busy. We all had different items and two portions of chips. The ciabatta’s were smaller than before and my wife’s the top didn’t match the bottom. My sausages were well well cooked but had no taste and the sauce was the only pleasing factor. As a whole we think the pub was very very busy so they concentrated on the clientele and takeaways were a side order. Will try again but hope they are not so busy
