Manjares De Mexico - South Bend

The Aguas Frescas were enjoyable. However, the salsa that accompanied the chips could have used a bit more spice. The seasoning for the meat on both the Huarache and the tampiqueña steak I ordered leaned too heavily on cumin; it didn't quite resemble a traditional tampiqueña and looked more like a fajita-style steak. The prices were reasonable, but there is definitely room for improvement in the seasoning and preparation of the dishes. Other than that,

Delicious and affordable authentic Mexican cuisine! The dining room is clean and spacious, and they even offer drive-thru service!

The food is fantastic, and the staff is very friendly. They use real sauces instead of the usual watered-down hot or mild sauce. The mild sauce has a delightful hint of jalapeño flavor, making it absolutely delicious!
