Maxi's Luncheonette - Sorrento Valley

Maxi's keeps it simple. Boar's Head meats on fresh bread. It feels very much like home cooking, and in the world of microwaves and Sysco, that's not a bad thing. The black bean chili is delicious too.

I’m 100% Italian so eating Italian food at a place run by a true Italian and getting sub-par food I was very disappointed. I’m giving it a 3 only because I thought the owner was very kind. They’d been catering our lunches at work a lot so I’ve had quite. a few of their items. Would not go if I was paying on my dime unfortunately.

Good food for lunch, pasta portion is big and very filling. Salads are simple but good, bread come with it is very tasty, a nice surprise.Order online or there might be a line.

I ordered the Maxi's salad. It comes with small sourdough bread; they were big potion and so delicious . The chicken so tender, juicy, and grill tastes. I will be back and trying other salads

Love the basil parmesan chicken salad sandwich and it's my default go-to here. I get it on the sourdough and the chicken salad has a fresh basil flavour. Had it once and always go to this place when I crave for it. I havent eaten much else here since I always get the one sandwich. And the pasta salad is just the perfect tint serving and very flavorful to go with a generous sized sandwich.
