Mcdonald's - Somerset

Great place! I had the Super Cheeseburger, my sons had the Cheeseburger and the cut BBQ Sandwich and my wife had the BBQ Nachos. All were amazing! Unfortunately, we did not make pictures of the burgers or sandwich as we were ready to dig, but my wife took her time to take a picture of her BBQ nachos only for this review. The staff is super nice and sweet! You get real southern hospitality here. We'll be back.

Good Bar B Q great red slaw and hushpuppies. Things a NC bar b q fan looks for. Service is haphazard but willing to please. Restrooms are out side like the old days. It is an adventure just going there. Also the Chicken Salad is very good.

Had the large BBQ plate. The 'cue was very good and the sweet tea was spot on. The sauce was vinegar based, which isn 't what I usually have on my BBQ but this was flavorful without being too strong. The staff was friendly. When I make it back to Asheboro I 'll visit again.

To go downtown Asheboro, look for a bite. Many of the spots we choke were closed today when we stumbled on Hops. The interior was open, so we went for the Board Specials for Thursday. I had the veg beef soup and sandwich (drilled cheese), woman had the chicken quesadilla with nachos and Queso sauce. Her chicken was tender and had a nice grill on it. They skipped the grilled paprika (mixture), but was cheesy and the tortilla was grilled and tender. The chips were hot and the cheese was warm and delicious. My grilled cheese was average, but this soup was some of the best I ever had! Rich, fleshy, fully grilled hamburgers, stew beef and vegetables. I didn't mention the woman until I had a chance to google what I noticed, but swear I would taste a hint of sweet cucumber juice in a stew as a sweetener. Found several Eastern European recipes on line mentioned beef stew and pimpel brine. I can be wrong, but will try to revise her stew back home soon. If the chief wants to shoot me this recipe, I promise not to share. Great place that has been there for years after the historical mark. Hasn't even tried their list of names, so I have to return soon.

My favorite restaurant in our city. Such an iconic restaurant and never disappointed. From their daily specials to the BBQ simply the best!! They have tons more to offer besides just bbq!! If you want a good meat loaf and the best chickens and dumplings in the city, make sure you in.
