Jims Open Kitchen - Solon

Casual American diner. I had a burger/fries combo and a chocolate shake. Everything was delicious, the service was fast and friendly, and I loved the classic diner atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again.

Another cook was wearing gloves, but I noticed him blow his nose and, shockingly, he did not change his gloves afterward. He continued to prepare food for customers using the same gloves. Throughout my visit, it was troubling to see that neither cook washed their hands or changed gloves at any point. This behavior shows a lack of respect for food safety standards and professionalism in the industry. If you cannot adhere to basic food safety protocols, you shouldn't work in this field. I highly recommend checking the health score and any violations reported by the Cuyahoga Board of Health before deciding to dine here.

Cindy is fantastic. George is a pro at the griddle. Ricky makes excellent toast.

Our first breakfast in Solon after moving our Son there from TX. Food was excellent, prices low and the people were great! This will be a regular stop any time we are in town!
