Are looking forward to a nice lunch on the New Year's Day. Unfortunately, the bark roasts we have chosen were very bad, as all the vegetables that seemed frozen were hard, with tasteless bratkartoffels that seemed frozen again or a few days old. even the yorkshire pudding. tasted no taste and not very fresh. the amount of spears presented on our tellers, which suggested to eat too hard to get rid of them as left remnants. not really sure that spits go with bark! the cauliflower cheese was so hard that we could not eat it, it was changed, but still the same. again seemed frozen veg, there was no cheese sauce on there just a tiny sprinkling of cheese, not what I would classify as a cauliflower. it was a shame when my youngest visit was good eating. our meals were definitely not worth what we paid for a tasteless roast that was understandards. it was almost as if the kitchen/cook did not check the food to ensure fully cooked. a very disappointing visit, the waiting staff were very attentive, but let them be of the kitchen / food.

Beautiful pub, nice staff and nice eating. managed to get a table short term. will be back soon!

We came to christmas eve, eating was amazing, was eaten by the open fire, so was really welcoming and christmas too. many thanks to our waiter (sorry has not received his name) he was very pleasant and helpful.

They always make a point to visit when in the nec. tonight was really busy with a good atmosphere. I'm so sorry that I forgot the name of the waitress (irish,) but she was beautiful and very professional, so attentive. all 3 courses were great, with steak perfectly cooked and...Bonoffee dessert was off site. has not disappointed. look forward to the next visit.

We booked a lunch for 3 people. We were seated quickly. There was a good menu options available We didn’t have starters, I had the lasagne, garlic bread and side salad, followed by a coffee. My friends had the Thai green curry and the other...the Seabass. My fiends both had desserts, cheesecake and the other sticky toffee pudding and they were both really nice. Overall very good, good value.
