Villa Del Casale - SOLARINO

Our Bed Breakfast proprietor kindly arranged for a guide to take just the four of us around. We followed her car to the site and we were allowed us to park beside her.She took us around quickly before the main crowds began to arrive at 10 a.m. We were then able to go around a second time at our own pace and spend as long as we wished in the areas that attracted us most. The mosaics have to be seen to be believed and anyone visiting Sicily should include a visit to this extraordinary place. We spent over two hours there.

Amazing food and excellent service! Traveling to Eastern Sicily from Connecticut, USA to visit family. Very impressed with owner, with the courteous and professional staff and with the locale. But it was the food that took the spotlight. Restaurant is off Route 124, about 10 miles west from Syracuse, just before the little town of Solarino. (don't miss the Ragu' rice balls Arancine , if you travel up to the town square . Thursday evening, coming back from visiting Enna in central Sicily. (Make it a point to visit; the views from this highest altitude regional capital in Europe are breathtaking . We (party of 5 decided to start with sampling the multiple seafood and fish plates offered. Approximately 10 minutes after placing the order we were experiencing a Mediterranean gastronomic seafood fish festival comprised of various (10+ separate dishes of delicacies caught that same day. Taste buds jumping. Gazing over at the local patrons, they seemed to very much enjoy their luscious dishes as well. This was an unexpected and just down right awesome gustatory experience. Epic, memorable meal. The restaurant is a hidden gem I was very glad to discover. Bravi tutti e grazie.

We found this place by accident but what a find! In an area where good restaurants are hard to find this place is fantastic. Great food, great service and the surroundings are beautiful. We ate outside. If you are in the Floridia are I highly recommend a visit.

Incredibile gemma siciliana. Organizzato molto bene con un percorso chiaro con molte spiegazioni. Valida anche l'area commerciale antistante per uno spuntino, una granita o quello che si vuole
