The ideal time to ski is on weekdays before 4 PM, as after that, the crowds from Snowshoe arrive for night skiing. For rentals and lift tickets, head to the Silver Creek Lodge. If you’re inspired by the Olympics, there are two excellent terrain parks. The Ski Patrol regularly practices and is quick to assist if you take a tumble on the rail. The Silver Creek Lodge is just a short 12-minute walk from the ski slopes. The accommodations are comfortable and more affordable than those at Snowshoe itself. Amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, two hot tubs, a small fitness center, several shops, a sports bar, and the Bear Den, which features drinks and entertainment such as arcades and a pool table. Keep in mind that there are no grocery stores at Silver Creek, and the lodge shops have extremely high prices. If you plan to stay longer than a day, bring your own supplies, as every room has a kitchenette available. I even saw some guests with crockpots and air fryers! Rentals, lift tickets, and lockers can be found on the first floor; just follow the signs from the main lobby.

We had a wonderful experience at Silver Creek and Snowshoe. The accommodations were sufficient, albeit somewhat outdated, but the staff was welcoming and everything was conveniently located. Overall, I would recommend it. I found the atmosphere and wait times at Silver Creek to be much more appealing. While the Village offers more diverse ski runs and dining options, we cooked most of our meals and only used our room for sleeping, so using the shuttle was definitely worth it.

This is a fantastic restaurant. It’s never too crowded, making it a pleasant dining experience. It’s the best spot south of New England, with nothing comparable nearby. I always have a great time here. For parents of children with challenges or adults who have experienced an accident, the adaptive program they offer is outstanding. However, if you’re looking for cold, excellent local beer along with great food, you might want to check out Old Spruce Brewery instead.

Make sure to buy your SNOWSHOE lift ticket in advance to cover both Snowshoe and Silver Creek lift passes! You’ll be able to ski from 9AM-9PM if you do which makes your stay at Snowshoe and Silver Creek totally worth it! Silver Creek is a great place for new Skiers and Snowboarders to learn! Trails are wider here and you can ride at night. We take trips to Snowshoe/Silver Creek every month in the winter!

Snowshoe does it right!! Heard great things about Snowshoe and they were right. Everything convenient and well done. The lodge at the top is genius. We were there two days that were sold out to capacity Presidents Day weekend and lift lines were not that bad. Our lift ticket covered night skiing at Silver Creek as well so you can ski till your hearts content. Just great. Still sore.
