Have a good brunch early, music late on the weekends. Would have given 4 stars, but last time we tried to visit they were closed before their listed closing time, on a Friday with many people still eating drinking. I worked in restaurants for years, you at least offer a limited menu if you are shutting down before closing time. Get there early!
I 've only been to this establishment in the off season in this area. This means summer and fall. I have know idea how it works in the ski season. I heard good recommendations of the place from locals, but the open hours were quite limited. I read some very negative reviews posted online. So it is time for my personal opinion. I went on a Wednesday night when just about everything was closed at the Snowshoe Resort in the early Fall. Wednesday is wing night and I got there early around 5:30. It is a casual place. I don 't eat much meat but ordered a drink at the bar and was offered a menu. There were plenty of table open. The service is quite friendly. I ordered a tuna taco for $5.00. This was not canned tuna and the slaw was good. It came on a cold flour tortilla with some sauce and avocado. The tuna was grilled and tasty. Families we welcomed and congregated in the restaurant area. The bar and music room were filled with lots of men working construction and filling up on food. A band began around 7:00. Google maps says it 's vegetarian. I would go with vegetarian friendly. Garbanzo burgers were on the menu but I did not try them. I 've been back again. Nothing fancy. A nice local place and an option if you tire of the Subway down the road.
Very nice place. All the athmosphere, live music, waiters I liked that all very much!
Always a good time here, hats off to the chef, the gumbo was great only got a few bites because I ordered a burger, the fries are handcut. I stay up on the Snowshow mountain but will leave the mountain to have a beer and dinner.
You've got to visit the fiddle head while in the snowshoe area. Wednesday is wing night!
