Glacier Goodies - Skaftafell

This food truck is the only, unique option to buy food in Skaftafell National Park. The menu is very brief; lobster soup, burgers and lamb broochets, accompanied by fries of course. It is a real opportunity to taste something hot in these cold latitudes; especially if you have just finished some tour inside the park or if you are camping. The service is fast as long as there are not many inhabitants; it is located within the camping area of the park, even side of the Visitors Center.

The restaurant closes at 17:30. By 16:20 it was already completely closed and there were hundreds of tourists crowded around.

I had the best lobster soup on the island. It was slightly spicy and creamy, and it was the perfect way to end a hike to the glacier!
