Another 20 minutes passed before a waitress came to take our order. We then faced another lengthy wait for our food, and getting the bill was yet another challenge. After multiple requests, we decided to go up to the front to find someone to process our payment. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.
I visited this restaurant on a Monday afternoon when it wasn't busy, yet it took 30 minutes for us to receive our two sandwiches, both of which were quite disappointing. My chicken sandwich was overcooked and bland, with the chicken breasts lacking seasoning. Overall, it was a decent but forgettable option for $16. To add insult to injury, we were charged $6 for a side salad, which was just a few scraps of romaine, even though the menu clearly stated it was $4. The waitstaff also seemed disorganized, with multiple servers unaware of what each other had done. Other customers were threatening to leave because of the long wait. If you're looking for a quick bite like we were, you might want to explore other options, although they are limited in this area. Our experience left us feeling underwhelmed and a bit cheated. Given the prices, I expected much fresher food and far better service. I might consider trying breakfast here if I had plenty of time and really needed to eat out.
The food and service were good, although it was somewhat expensive. Food rating: 4/5.
After a local bookstore recommended Spoons, we had a fantastic lunch there! The sandwiches featured real meat, with turkey that wasn’t the typical thin-sliced deli variety. The homemade chicken salad had just the right amount of mayo to hold together the delicious chicken, offering a perfect crunch that highlighted the wonderful blend of flavors. The grandmas shared a generous BLT and were both very satisfied. We enjoyed it so much that on our way back the next day, we all agreed we had to go to Spoons again. This time, the homemade tuna salad was just as fantastic as the chicken salad from the previous day, and the grandmas chose to split the turkey sandwich, raving about its flavor compared to other sandwiches they had tried elsewhere. The atmosphere was charming, and the staff was incredibly friendly! The prices were more reasonable than what we typically find at sandwich chains, and the taste truly reflected the quality of good homemade food. It was worth every penny! We can't wait for our next trip to Sisters!
What a major disappointment. A turkey sandwich for $16 is way too much, and a soda costs $4 on top of that. My sandwich was poorly made, and the service wasn't up to par either. I used to enjoy this place, but the prices have become far too high. Next time, I’ll make the effort to drive to Sunriver and eat at Josie's Deli instead.
