Sushi Tanaka - Simi Valley

The chef at Tanaka takes great pride in every dish he creates. Each plate is beautifully arranged on white dishes, which allows the vibrant colors of the fish to stand out. The fish itself is exceptionally fresh, and the chef enhances its natural flavors with a variety of salts, fresh yuzu, wasabi, and delicate citrus sauces. I highly recommend opting for the omakase; you won't find this level of quality at such a reasonable price elsewhere. The service is warm and attentive—always present but never intrusive, ensuring that your needs are met. If you're in search of soy sauce and specialty rolls, you might want to look elsewhere. However, if you're seeking artistically plated fresh fish in a serene, understated environment, I wholeheartedly recommend Tanaka Sushi.

This is the best sushi I've ever had, anywhere. I've tried sushi all over the country, including places with Michelin stars, but nothing compares to this restaurant. The omakase is a fantastic value, and the quality of the fish is outstanding and beautifully sliced. The rice is nearly perfect—I've never tasted better in my life. I can't praise this place enough; I find myself disappointed every time I try sushi anywhere else now. The only downside is that it's quite difficult to secure a reservation.
