Gelateria La Costarella - SIENA

Better aperitif to siena made so far, I say it from Siena. we have served two spritz bells with peanuts, blackberries and olives. the best bells drank so far. I'll be back

Clean local, good service, a bit expensive on ice cream, but served abundantly. nice balcony with view on the square.

Fantastic balcony to drink while watching the activity of Piazza del campo. I had a Hugo spray and it was very good.

Excellent gelato. Not sure why this place gets such bad reviews, but we were glad we stopped some corn here late evening. I do not remember that it is expensive, in fact, we have another day during our stay here in downtown Siena, and had mouth irrigation cookies (Ricciarelli) and big gelatos after we had gedimt for Doris at lunch with a beautiful glass of white wine and I had a big cold glass of Pilsner beer with our super sandwiches to go. Bye!

Absolutely scammed at this place today. Unfortunately I've only just read the reviews that this is standard for this place. They charged without warning for sitting on the terrace for 5 minutes. We only sat there because the cafe smelt like the toilet which is positioned centrally within it. Staff were incredibly rude. It seems scamming tourists is how they make their money though. Avoid at all costs!!!
