Casa Maya Mexican - Shorewood

The Burrito Diablo and Vaqueros Nachos were absolutely delicious! The combination of steak and chicken was fantastic, and the Diablo sauce was flavorful without being too spicy. As a first-time visitor, I can definitely say I will be returning!

Casa Maya has been my go-to spot during the pandemic, and I look forward to dining here every week. The food is consistently delicious, and the family that operates the restaurant is always incredibly friendly.

As regular customers of this establishment, we appreciate the excellent food. However, we've noticed that the service can sometimes feel a bit disorganized and confused. Our visit on Cinco de Mayo was particularly hectic. I don't want to single anyone out in this review, but it was a rough day for the staff. We understand how busy it gets, and we usually have a fantastic experience with no issues. Everyone has an off day now and then.

Food: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 I ordered the spicy Steak Burrito. The steak was soft and was made very good. The black beans I ordered could have been cooked a bit, but I would say I was satisfied with my plate. My wife ordered the Tilapia. The Tilapia tasted good, but it was super salty. Not sure whether we cover something or if it was just a mistake (or the setup excessively salts of Tilapia). She liked the taste, but also agreed, it was just a little salty. The last record was the Steak Taco dinner. The Taco Steak was soft. The tortillas were beautifully roasted. If you want honest reviews like these for your setup, feel free to reach!

The only thing you should remember when trying this restuarant is; good food takes time. Keep in mind the tacos you complain about with meat that is chewy and over cooked is rushed. If I can give 10 stars I would! Definitely worth your time. Enjoy!
