Star Poke - Shoreline

On the bright side, the edamame and wakame were good, but I don't think lettuce belongs in a poke bowl. These toppings aside, I ordered poke bowls primarily for the seasoned raw fish and rice, both of which were unfortunately ruined. The only reason I’m not giving this place a one-star rating is because of the nice interior design and friendly customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

After my meal, I went back to the restaurant to voice my concerns. Their first response was that they don't offer refunds and would try to do better next time. I engaged in a lengthy conversation, hoping for a more constructive solution. Fortunately, another employee walked in, overheard our discussion, and offered to add more fish, which was my main complaint. It's great that they attempted to resolve the issue, but I still had to make a trip back just to express my disappointment. Honestly, it's frustrating to think that resolving an issue relies on luck—hoping someone overhears and takes action. There are plenty of other poke bowl places to choose from. It's a shame because it's so close to my house, and I really wanted to love this spot, especially since I'm a huge Star Wars fan.

Initially, I was a bit put off by the price for just seven small pieces of fish. However, once I dug into the bowl, I realized this place is different from others; they offer all the toppings, and you get to choose what you don’t want. There's something truly unique about this spot. From the Star Wars theme to the delightful flavor combinations, I had a wonderfully enjoyable lunch.

Really wanted to like this place because of the Star Wars theme but the poke bowl rice was so warm that the romaine lettuce inside got cooked. The toppings are covered with way too much mayonnaise to make up for the lack of fish and flavor. Got asingle fish bowl and it came with 5 cubes of tuna for $16. Bit of a disappointment.

This poke is just alright. The 3 star rating perfectly describes the food. Not bad at all, but also nothing special. The mixed greens are Romain lettuce, which was disappointing but honestly glad there wasn?t kale. The flavors just all feel dumbed down.House poke sauce is pretty good, but I feel I?ve grossly overpaid unfortunately.
