Gonpachi Shibuya - 渋谷

It was a nice restaurant with a local trendy vibe. This feels like a good place to bring your foreign friends who want to try a “safe” Japanese style restaurant. We went there for lunch and the plates a priced accordingly to the location. If possible you should ask for a semi-private table to get the nice view. The food was good and place was nice and clean. The restrooms were clean as well. It is defined a place we would go back with friends.

Solid nomikai place with good food, large private rooms, and friendly and attentive staff. 10 minute walk from Shibuya station. It's not a romantic place for a date, or particularly unique (it's a chain), but you can't go wrong booking this for your office party. Safe bet when you have a large group that includes a few directors, and want decent food.

Servers are really friendly, although you do have to work quite a bit to get their attention. We had a really large group and reserved one of the private rooms— it has a gorgeous view of Tokyo at night. The food was good but not out of this world, drinks were tasty. It seems slightly smaller than the other Gonpachi location.

A restaurant part of the Global-Dining Inc., very popular among foreigners in Japan. The open kitchen design has cleverly showed off the various Japanese cuisines' cooking techniques. Visited during late dinner hours. Cozy warm atmosphere. Wide selection of good foods and drinks. Staff services is not as efficient (slow and inattentive). [After ordered second bottle of wine, need to remind the staff 4 times before it is delivered… Standard foods and drinks menus are bilingual. However, it is recommended to ask for English menu, which will include individual picture of every food item. Easier to use and set the correct expectations. Foods were really delicious. Highly recommended.
