But, what’s served on the conveyor belt could well go round and round, but no one takes them. Wonder if freshness remains or checked afterall. Ordering with chef possible though.
Himawari means sunflower in Japanese. I randomly picked some plates and the 煮穴子 (poached conger eel) and 卵壽司 (tamago omelette sushi) were both outstanding: soft, creamy and quiessentially the ultimate comfort food. I then ordered a set sushi platter. Everything served was fresh and the sushi to rice ratio was perfect. Additionally and aside, the 海鮮丼 (Kaisen don or seafood on rice bowls) were persistently prevalent and popular. Sunflower symbolises optimism, devotion, honesty, peace and longevity. The chefs and waitstaffs, while professional, are characteristic of sunflowers
One can't go wrong here with the freshness, range and affordability of a wide variety of sushi. It's easy to understand off the menu.
First meal in Japan after so many years. Found this yummy sushi place which serve 10 amazing pieces of sushi for only JPY1550. Thats 10.5 usd or 15.5 sgd only.
Best sit-down sushi on the block. Staff super friendly and speak English. Personally, I felt that Uogashi (around the corner) was better, but that is much smaller and standing-up only so not as relaxed as Himawari. Very wide range and very well priced. If you’re looking for a sit down dinner with some excellent local sake, do not miss this one. Highly recommended!
