Contribuiți la feedbackThe last time I visited Montana's was 4 years ago and I had a negative food experience. Thus, I made the decision to avoid this restaurant. However, after hearing positive reviews, I decided to give it another try last weekend with my family. Despite the long wait, we were pleased with the food and service. I may consider returning in the future.
I have lived in Sherwood Park for 30 years......this restaurant opened I would guess 20 years ago...or more. It used to be a favorite of our family. However now it is a cesspool of filth. My fiance and I had dinner here recently and everywhere we looked was dirt, dust and grime. I'm not sure how or why it even stays in business. The food is mediocre now, and the cleanliness is completely unacceptable. I'm surprised that Cara Foods, the owner of Montana's does not inspect their properties .this place appears to be a health hazard in my opinion! We will not be back!
My wife and I went for dinner and beers. She had the special Chips and Dip, I the Chipotle Burger. Her chips were not overly tasty, my burger and fries were marginal. The burger had little things that looked like small onions. Now I like hot food but this was very hot. After a couple of bites my nose was running. A beer each were good but with only these food items the bill still came to 35 bucks. A bit pricey for what we good. We were entertained by the balloon guy doing balloon sculptures for the kids in the restaurant. He was very good!
Terrible experience. We met for lunch and thought having an hour was plenty. We were seated immediately as the restaurant was empty. It then took 20 minutes before anyone even came to take a drink order. We insisted that we order or food at the same time. We are now still waiting for our food and it's now been 40 minutes since we arrived. My drink has been empty for at least 15 minutes with nobody asking me if I want a refill, which I do. I guess I now understand why nobody else is h the for lunch and I sure won't be returning.
My wife and I went to Montana's for dinner last night. It was early so we were seated right away. The first thing I noticed when I went to move the salt and pepper shakers was they were sticky and left coaster rings on the paper they put down on the table. Our server came to see us in a reasonable amount of time. We already had decided what we wanted so we ordered our drinks, appetizer, and entrees at the same time. Our drinks came quite quickly; I had ordered the Smokey Bacon Cesar. I was a little surprised when I looked at because the only garnish was the lime (no bacon like on the picture in the menu). My wife pointed out that the bacon was in the drink, completely submerged. Our spinach dip appetizer came which was pretty good; they serve it with those little bread triangles and enough of them that the don't run out before the dip does. Our entrees came half way through our appetizer which was disappointing. Just because you order your appetizer and entree at the same time does not mean you want them at the same time! I had the Chicken Waffle Club Sandwich and my wife had the Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich. They were both average; the serving size was appropriate. Our server checked on us a couple times throughout the meal. Considering we had to eat our appetizers and entrees at the same time I was surprised that we had to wait at all to get the bill. We went to Montana's because we had a gift card and probably won't go back unless we get another one.
