Caffrey's In The Park - Sherwood Park

Cafferey’s‘s has been our go to place for years now. Great food, good atmosphere, and good service. HOWEVER, our last visit was awful. Cafferey’s runs daily specials. On Thursday nights it used to be fish and chips with a bottle of Kieths. The fish and chips are still at the same price but management has seen fit to remove the Keiths beer without notice. You don’t know till you go to order. With tax and tip, of course this equates to a whopping 50% increase in price! $14 approx $7.07 for the Kieths. Our table of 5 heard 3 other tables grumbling about the change, poor waitress. Price increase sure but 50%? Boneheaded move by management! We seated ourselves on the busy patio, service was slow, food arrived timely. My wife said the portions had shrunk. I was busy talking but I compared the 4 fish and chip plates and she was right! Not only a 50% price increase but we have shrinkflation going on as well. Requested water was never brought. after food was brought, I had to go inside and request cutlery for everybody. Is this the death spiral for Cafferey’s? Overall, not a good experience. Shame

We have been going to Caffrey’s for their daily specials for the week of the steak and fish and chips. We had been to the establishment on May 25, 2023 for their special of fish and chips and enjoyed the food and the daily special price. It was $13.00 for the fish and chips which included a beer or soft drink. We went again on June first for our usual fish and chips but was informed that the menu and price had changed 2 days prior. We thought ok if they have to increase the price a little bit no problem. What they told us was very surprising, they increased the price from $13.00 to $14.00 that was ok but it didn’t include a beverage or a beer, but the clincher was to get the fish and chips for the $14.00 you had to order a beverage at an additional cost which in fact made the fish and chip special $19.30. You could not just have water…basically they increased the price by approximately 44%…… undoubtedly we were not impressed…… I did call the manager the next day and she wasn’t concerned about my concern, as we are seniors and basically they want people who want to by alcohol with their meal and not just water…. I explained that this is very poor public relations and word of mouth is the best way to get customers into the establishment…. We will not be returning anytime soon

Have been here many times and always had great food and the service is always awesome. Daily food specials including lunch and happy hour specials. We finally made it here on a Wednesday night for the happy hour wings and they were amazing for the price you pay. Lots of flavors to choose from but beware. The hot wings are HOT!

Many restaurants offer fish and chips and the fish is thin with a generous coating of batter. Caffery's haddock is thick cut portion so you actually taste the fish. Service was atentative without being intrusive. The Guinness was smooth, cool and very enjoyable!

Maybe comfier chairs? But honestly great good and amazing service! Would definitely recommend the lady boss drink!! Sure does that get ya goin! Anyways amazing place great friends!
