White Oak Wine Garden - SHELTER ISLAND

I visited White Oak Wine Garden on a whim and discovered a hidden gem.

I had a fantastic experience sipping on some excellent local wine that was perfect and refreshing on a warm June Saturday. The gardens were beautiful and relaxing. I even got to pet a puppy! Another couple brought their dog with them. I can't wait to go back when I'm on Shelter Island!

One restaurant that stands out is Shelter Island. The local wines offered here are top-notch and the outdoor garden is stunning. We enjoyed a bottle of their house rosé, which was delightful as we sat in their beautiful garden created by winemaker Tom Spotteck from Lenz Winery in collaboration with Kristian Clark of White Oak Wines, known for their sophisticated and elegant rosé wine. The tasting room provides a selection of unique boutique wines from local vineyards, along with a variety of indoor plants and gardens to admire while enjoying a drink.

Love to come here and enjoy a bottle of wine with a charcuterie and cheese flight from King Andrew Cheese, conveniently located on a food truck in front. The garden has lots of seating and you can play bocce, cornhole, or listen to music. A TON of room for kids to run around and play as well. Great addition to the island
