Smoked wings extra crispy? Yeah you lost it. I tried their wings today and i think this is the prime example of 'just because the temperature of the chicken reads 165°F doesnt mean its done '. My wings weren 't done so i put them in the oven and they were just fine. I surely don 't think this place is black-owned anymore.

I had the Ends and Ends platter..... Eh. The pork was VERY dry. The beef was better. I had the side salad... That was good. The sweet potato fries I didn't enjoy. I only ate one. They were not hot or crunchy. The staff on the other hand was wonderful. Maybe I simply choose the wrong dish or it was a fluke... But the staff was really nice.

It's like going to an bbq with family but here it's indoors or if you like you can sit outdoors and enjoy a great meal.

Perfect place for a fast lunch and a great taste of BBQ. Road-tripping through the US, we didn’t have time to do much in KC but Hayward’s was worth the stop. Everything we ate was great, but especially the burnt ends and mac cheese. Great and friendly service from Ginger. Authentic experience.
