Had a lovely meal here. Not too hard to find. Friendly staff and a large choice of foods. Lots of mock meats also. Not open until 10pm as stated. Closes at 9pm.
Only some of the menu is in English, not all of it, and while I was told later that most of it is vegan, there's no indication on the menu of what is and what isn't. I showed some info from my phone in Chinese indicating that I am vegan to the girl taking my order and she said okay, but she didn't tell me that the sauces that come with both the dishes I ordered are not vegan! Luckily when my food was coming out there was a woman working there who could speak English who came out to apologise for the wait and I asked her just to be sure (they were creamy sauces hence my questioning it) and she told me they're not. Also, the food you get is not necessarily as in the photos. It actually says that on the menu at the bottom in small print. I ordered a kind of spring rolls which in the photo looks like raw Vietnamese spring rolls, but in reality they have cooked food in a sauce on the inside, and there's sauce on top too! Had I known I wouldn't have ordered that dish. I ate it because I'd ordered it and I was hungry, but I didn't enjoy it. As others have already said, don't go out of your way to go here but if you're in the area check them out. Also, good to go with a group so you can share and try more items. On the fourth floor of a sleepy mall, the decor is casual, the server was friendly, the food came fast, and the food was all good. I give four stars because of my high standards but I think you'll be happy with it. I got the Chanterelle and vermicelli en casserole (good), Kung Pao yam puff (batter fried in kung pao sauce, what could go wrong), Tofu pot in sauces (had an unusual anise taste, not for everyone), and wontons stuffed with shepherd's purse (if you're into wontons, these are big).
Lovely little restaurant in a mall. The food was delicious and most of it also vegan. Bring some friends so you can try a lot of the dishes.
