I Love Espichel - Sesimbra

I was wanting to try choco frito, so that's what I ordered here. The fries were fine, but the choco frito was chewy, rubbery, and pretty tasteless. Now maybe that's the way all choco frito is, but I will probably never know, because I don't plan to order it again.

Really friendly staff, great choice and some of the most delicious dishes I have tasted. We will most certainly return.

We've visited Cabo Espichel several times, and never bothered to visit this little restaurant, assuming it would be just be so-so food at high prices. After all, while Cabo Espichel attracts tourists, it's not exactly swamped, and normally visitors only hang around for a half hour to an hour and usually aren't really looking for much more than a food cart (which the area has on weekends). But lo and behold, like so many times we've found in Portugal, even the most nondescript places are perfectly delightful places to eat. The owners are kind, the prices reasonable, and the lunch food more than decent!

From the sun and wind. Super friendly staff with delicious goodies and COLD drinks. Be sure to try the Farinha Torrada (an authentic Portuguese granola/power bar that is very tasty). The fresh figs were also awesome. Café also has a nice selection of minerals and souvenirs. Well worth popping in for a bit of respite and refreshment.
