Aloha Cafe - Sesimbra

This review is in two halves. The food is excellent! Presentation,freshness, portion sizes are all very good value for money however the service is poor. We were a party of 5 and arrived when no tables were free but we were prepared to wait. We got a table after 10-15 mins but the waiter wasn’t serving people in turn so tables seated after us got served first which meant our initial wait was longer than necessary. My family each ordered a burger and I ordered a sharing board for my main course and we tried to explain we wanted all the food to be served together. This unfortunately wasn’t understood so the board arrived with 5 plates for a starter. Not a huge problem although we were pushed for time. When the burgers arrived there was one missing. We asked and the waiter disappeared and didn’t come back. The 3 people who had a burger finished eating and we decided we’d been there for a while and needed to leave so I asked for the bill at which point the waiter said the 4th burger was coming . I said we no longer wanted it as it had taken too long and I requested the bill. When the bill arrived it still had 4 burgers on it and then he tried to give me the 4th one as a takeaway but I politely said no. A corrected bill was brought to me but this whole process was unnecessarily long

Service was a bit hit and miss but the food was nice and fresh, the setting is lovey with beautiful views of the beach and sea. Was nice to find a vegetarian/vegan place in an area filled with seafood restaurants.
