Thomas The Baker - Selby

I went in to Thomas the bakers with my son .staff seemed miserable. The sandwich I purchased was terrible. Won't be going back anytime soon

I typically visit this restaurant two or three times a week. It's not the most affordable option, but that seems to be the case everywhere these days. I'm not a big fan of the bread, but after being married to a professional baker for 20 years, I've been spoiled. My granddaughter loves the sausage rolls and my grandson enjoys the cheese straws. I would highly recommend trying the white chocolate and raspberry muffins.

Today, I went to the market looking for lunch. It took me 5 minutes to get the attention of the staff, but when I finally did, I asked if they had any gluten-free options. Unfortunately, I was told very bluntly that they did not. Come on, Thomas's, there are many people who require gluten-free options. I thought you would have some products available.

I have always been a fan of Thomas The Baker. This bakery, located in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, has been a familiar brand to us for many years. They offer excellent artisanal breads made with high-quality ingredients, delicious warm snacks, savory treats, tasty sandwiches, and great sweet cakes. No matter which Thomas The Baker location we visit, such as the one in Selby, we always enjoy the same great food and friendly staff.

Although not from the Selby area we visited Selby for the afternoon and called at the shop in the town centre. I have not heard of the outlet before but items in the window looked very tempting. We purchased a BLT on what looked like a tiger roll and a cheese and red onion on wholemeal brown. I can honestly say they were the best sandwiches I have ever purchased from a takeaway bakery. Absolutely first class in all categories including value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone. Excellent.
