The premises seemed dirty and rundown, prompting us to ask for our table to be cleaned. The window frames were in terrible condition, covered in dirt and with dead flies and crumbs on the windowsill. Given the ongoing concerns about Covid, we did not feel comfortable with the overall cleanliness of the restaurant, and as a result, this will be our last visit.
Just visited this Costa and watched the tables being cleared but no wiping down with sanitizer whatsoever but the signs on the tables clearly state that they have been. It's not good enough please take your own wipes if you visit. No wonder Covid cases are rising if this is what you are up against. They would soon be complaining if they were put into Tier 3 and closed !!
I stopped by on my way to York. This branch is in an interesting building with a mezzanine floor above the counter. The service was a bit slow but the coffee was the usual offering. The toilet door would not lock properly but otherwise an average Costa outlet.
Surley girls working on a Sunday barely a hello, let alone the service that Costa expect or used to expect was provided. Insipid looking small Americano no crema despite having less water in (my request) possibly due to the haphazzard way the grinder is used giving half doses! Shame with the Lemon Tree closed its possibly going to busier, need to up your game.
