The restaurant is lovely—spacious, clean, and adorned with a cozy decor. The menu is straightforward, and I appreciated the brief description of the restaurant's concept. Initially, I didn't have high expectations considering the price (just $6.95 for the lunch special). However, when Chef Eddie brought my dish to the table, I was pleasantly surprised! It was beautifully presented, and the meal was absolutely delicious. The vegetables and chicken were cooked to perfection. The curry sauce was creamy, the spice level was just right, and the coconut undertones added a delightful touch. Overall, great service, fantastic food, and an unbeatable price make this a remarkable find! I would definitely give it 5 stars. Thank you, Chef Eddie! I can't wait to introduce this place to my wife, friends, and family. Next time, I'll be sure to try the famous tamarind fish dish!
The menu is diverse and interesting, featuring a low-fat section as well. I chose the grilled chicken with peanut sauce, non-oil pad Thai, and spring rolls. The delivery was quicker than I expected, and the delivery person was not only adorable but also incredibly sweet. As soon as I opened the packages, I was greeted by a feast for the eyes—vibrantly colored vegetables, beautiful garnishes, and the aroma was fantastic. I dove right in. The non-oil pad Thai was absolutely delicious, loaded with veggies, chicken, peanuts, and bursting with flavor. It definitely did not skimp on taste! The grilled chicken with spinach in peanut sauce was equally delightful, garnished with fresh red tomato slices, garbanzo beans, and artichoke hearts—so good! The spring rolls were tasty but not as exceptional as the other two dishes. I noticed they offer a halibut with brown rice, veggies, and tamarind sauce. I typically hesitate to order fish on my first visit to a restaurant, but I can't wait to try it next time. From now on, Eddie's will be my go-to spot for Thai delivery!
Eddie is the man!. Eddie 's is a great place to escape the crowds up on Phinney Ridge on a Friday night. Having just recently moved from his former digs on Mercer Island, Chef Eddie 's new place is an as yet undiscovered gem on the corner of Aurora and 79th, a couple blocks from Green Lake.<br/ <br/ The menu looks a bit daunting at first it 's broken down into three parts: standard Thai/fusion fare, 'Eddie 's Tofu House, ' (vegetarian tofu based dishes) and a 'Light ' menu that consists of dishes cooked with little or no oil.<br/ <br/ The Thai curry dishes are decent but nothing special. The Cashew Chicken is a stand out entree, but if you 're trying the place out for the first time, you HAVE to have the Tamarind Halibut. It is Eddie 's specialty and it 's not quite like anything I 've tasted before. The Halibut melts in your mouth, and the bold Tamarind sauce is a decadent mingling of sweet and savory.<br/ <br/ The greatest thing about Eddie 's, though, is Chef Eddie himself. The entire staff consists of him and his wife. They treat all of their customers like family, so don 't be surprised when Eddie comes out of the kitchen for a chat. The last time I was at Eddie 's, he asked me about the people I came with the first time I was there two months ago! It 's nice to see a business owner who truly cares about his customers! Highly recommended!
Quick service. very nice and fun staff. Came in at halftime of Seahawks game and got my food quickly. Vegetables were freshly steamed, fresh steamed brown rice. And succulent grilled chicken in a sauce that is different and satisfying. Herbal tea was a bonus. Will return.
