West Side Flava's - Scranton

The fried chicken here is great!! Some of the best I’ve ever had, the collard greens were good as well, however the Mac and cheese was a miss, it lacked color and flavor. The counter service also seemed a little on the slower and disorganized side. But I would come again!

DO NOT ORDER HERE! I ordered takeout through a delivery app. Apparently they gave me someone else’s order and then called me repeatedly from an out of state number until I picked up. After about 5 calls in a row, I picked up and a woman from West Side Flava’s said that she had given the delivery driver the wrong order and she needed it back because another driver was on their way to the restaurant to pick it up. She wanted to send someone to pick up the food that had already been delivered to me, that was in my possession and opened, so she could have it delivered to another customer…and she wasn’t nice about it! This whole experience was mind boggling to say the least. Completely gross too. Save yourself the trouble (and potential illness) with this place!

Ordered through Uber eats. They were out of yams and corn on the cob but didn’t even call (before delivery)to ask if I’d like something else. Just had it delivered without those items. Also, I specifically asked for condiments (hot sauce and tartar sauce) and it wasn’t delivered. The fish was tasty but 1 very small piece. The greens are very salty. Mac and Cheese is good. Overall not worth the price at all! Very small portions.

Idk about the food but I get alot of orders here with grubhub, very friendly staff and kind .food smells good..

As someone from the South who knows genuine soul food well, I found my experience here to be quite disappointing. The only highlights were the macaroni and cheese and the yams, but even that’s a stretch. The fish still had bones in it and lacked flavor. The cornbread was the smallest serving I've ever encountered. I won't even go into detail about the cobbler. While the customer service was good, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all.
