Schoolhouse -b-que - Scranton

Another stop on the SC bbq trail in the books! This was my first experience with authentic eastern Carolina bbq. It was amazing! The pulled pork had a great vinegar flavor with red pepper flakes. The “hot gravy” was delicious over pork skins and the pulled pork. The liver has was very unique. I’m used to the hash you get down in the lowcountry and this was very different. I did enjoy though. All the traditional SC bbq fixins were present of course. Great little joint with plenty of seating a great decor. Atmosphere was great as well and the staff were all kind and welcoming. Felt like I was regular and this was my first visit. I highly recommend you check them out if you’re a bbq aficionado or just a casual diner looking for a solid meal! Also, at $13 a piece for an all you can eat buffet is an outstanding deal! Parking: Huge parking area!

This place is good been here numerous times . Only one flaw they have and its the same flaw that Woodstone in Florence SC have. The flaw is they close at 2pm on a Sunday ? ? guess they only trying to catch a certain crowd if you know what I mean ? ?

Some of the best Carolina Barbeque in a state with more than it's share of good barbeque establishments.

Great BBQ buffet in Scranton. We don't live close by so we usually stop in if we are passing through when they are open.
