Nicholas Pizza Shop - Scranton

Definitely one of the best pizzas in Scranton! The crust is thin and crispy, and the atmosphere has a great classic pizza shop feel. The combination of peppadew, salami, and red onion on the pizza is absolutely fantastic.

I appreciate the uniqueness of this place, as I haven't encountered a pizza quite like it before. However, I feel that's where my praise ends. I really don't get the positive reviews for this pizza. The crust is fairly ordinary and nearly resembles what you'd find in a frozen pizza. It's certainly not inedible, but I can't recommend it over the many excellent pizza spots in NEPA. They've been around for a while, so there must be some demand for this style of pizza, but I'm just not seeing it.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Scranton! The pizza is fantastic and perfectly seasoned. Their specialty pizzas are incredible as well! The staff is always hardworking and very friendly. This place is definitely a must-try for pizza lovers—my favorite thing is that they focus solely on pizza!
