Whitby Deli - Scarborough

Very disappointing experience. Note that the advertised opening times on their website are not their actual opening times. We arrived Saturday at about 7pm and they were shut despite advertising they are open until 9. Arrived on Sunday just after 4 (advertised open until 4.30) to be told they were closed. We explained that their website advertised they were open until 4.30 and this was the second day in a row that they were closed before advertised, to be told they had changed their opening hours. The staff member behind the counter simply said they were closed and couldn't help us. Very disappointing given we had made two specific trips to go to the deli and were unable to purchase anything we had planned.

Food tastes good. However, I was charged twice the listed price to use their cutlery . As if this wasn 't bad enough, the cutlery doesn 't cut through the pie.

Best takeaway coffee in Whitby. Use cardboard lids instead of plastic too which is a bonus

Lovely friendly and welcoming staff, dog was allowed in too. Vast selection of wonderful products, you could easily spend more than you planned We also sat in and had a great coffee and a very tasty little vegan pastry roll 'thing ' for lunch (sorry, I forget what it was called)

This is a true jewel, wonderful eating and beautiful staff. we had a Friday evening trip to house to heat, rinderbourginion with pomme dauphinois followed by sky cheesecake. the bourgeon was delicious and full of meat. the dauphinois smells amazingly from the second. I put it in the many. the cheesecake was delicious, my only complaining was that it was slightly grainy. we also bought a fantastic selection of cheese, some of the nice workers recommended, they were all high quality and delicious abs, we have them very greedy.
