The Italian Emporium - Scarborough

This restaurant is typically open for breakfast and lunch, but occasionally offers a fixed price 2-course dinner once or twice a month. The dinner we had was fantastic! There were three options for entrees and three options for main courses. We started with a parmesan basket filled with rocket, ricotta, half-dried tomatoes, and avocado - a delicious combination. The main course was a tender chicken leg wrapped around asparagus, served with potatoes and the most flavorful beans I've ever had. It is BYO and located at the Redcliffe waterfront. The prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly and efficient.

The Italian traditional sweets are beautifully presented and look as good as they taste. The restaurant also offers an eclectic mix of gifts to suit all tastes.

We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. We had the gluten-free lasagna filled with salad and chicken, as well as a large dessert of chocolate cannoli with coffee. We will definitely be going back thanks to the friendly staff. They also have great gift and food items available.

I will not recommend this place. we ordered a lemon cake, an espresso and an ice cream. the lemon was unfresh. on the top it was dried about half of it. the ice cream was mostly pure milk. the espresso is nothing special. the personal was not particularly friendly.
