Cafe Diversity - Scarborough

They didn’t open the night that we booked and didn’t even bother to ring and tell us! I confirmed, via phone, with the manager the day before. When I found out that they weren’t opening, I said that I had confirmed the day early and the manager said that she didn’t remember….WTF? Then she tried to blame the OpenTable App, where they do their bookings. Then I reminded her that I had rang and spoke to her the day before and confirmed the booking. She then said that she had no excuse! Table of 10 left with 2 hours to find a place to accomodate them at short notice. The managers name is Suzanne. DO NOT BOOK with this restaurant. Previous experience food is good. Service is extremely slow. Previously we have waited 45 minutes to 2 hours for food. They have always blamed issued with the staff and chefs. But it is very clear that the issue is with management. Just don’t bother.

Absolute worst! Terrible drink service sent food back was inedible and owners love to show you they dont give refunds, they do not care.. avoid this place and spend your money next door

Made a booking on Open Table for my whole family for Christmas Eve and I got a confirmation email and everything looked like it was all good to go, when my family and I arrived the cafe was closed. I was so embarrassed and we had to eat elsewhere. Either the cafe or open table app needs to advise customers that the cafe isn't open. I booked this week's before Christmas Eve and no-one contacted me to tell me the cafe wasn't going to be open and that could have given me enough time to book elsewhere.

Coming from Melbourne, this is the third day in a row I have come to this cafe. I had to stop over one last time before my flight home. I am in absolute love with everything they have to offer. From the window swings to the kids play area makes life so easy. Their menu is amazing. I have had the Sago breakfast, 3 eggs benedict, iced chocolate, nasi goerang, pork Ramen, fish cakes, pork bao, vermicelli chicken salad, fresh coconut and the Gnocchi. Lets just say I like food and the coffee is great here too. I cant wait to come back to the beautiful place, sit down, enjoy everything again and watch the world go by. Amazing. Love you Cafe Diversity. Keep kicking them goals! And to the staff, you are brilliant!

We ate here for the first time today and absolutely loved the atmosphere, a great place for kids!! The play area is just what parents need to relax and enjoy a nice breakfast. The pancakes were delicious and the coffee perfect. We will definitely be back as there were many other dishes on the menu I wanted to try. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat with a relaxed modern vibe and a yummy nutritious menu!
