The Brunswick Stew was rich and flavorful, the chicken fingers were crispy and delicious, and the hush puppies were simply the best I've ever had. The service was equally impressive, with friendly staff who made us feel welcome and well taken care of—another perfect 5/5. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and comfortable, also deserving a 5/5. If you're looking for a great lunch spot, be sure to try the Brunswick Stew, Chicken Fingers, and Hush Puppies!

I mentioned my disappointment to our server, who brought the manager over to talk to me. Unfortunately, the manager had a rather unpleasant attitude and lacked basic customer service skills. When she approached our table, she claimed she heard me say the food was "nasty." I clarified that I said it was dry and unsatisfactory but mentioned that the fries were good. Despite my efforts, the manager maintained a disrespectful demeanor, reflected in her facial expressions and tone. She didn’t offer an apology for the subpar food nor did she suggest replacing it—she just walked away. While she did remove the charge for the sandwich from our bill, it would have been nice if she had acknowledged our concerns or apologized for the unsatisfactory meal. My friend ordered fried fish and scallops, and she said her meal was just okay. One last note: I highly recommend skipping any drinks. Both glasses of water tasted very strange, almost like toilet water. I’m not sure where the restaurant sources its water, but it tasted more like it came from a river—or worse. Even the iced tea had a foul taste and smell reminiscent of unfiltered water. The only bright spot of our experience was our server, who was genuinely nice, courteous, and apologetic. She earned a tip for her service, not for the food.
