Babe's Smokehouse - Savannah

Very good. I was pleasantly surprised. Tender and good flavor. Sauce was good too. Bread and sides were hot. I'll be back. Mac n cheese was delicious and beans also,

Just made it on time today to try out Babe?s BBQ. I had never been there so I went inside and asked for a to go order. The lovely lady at the cash register said I had to order to go at the window outside. I went back outside to the window and was informed I had just made it and would be their last customer today due to a crazy lunch rush. I was also told they were out of Brisket. I ordered the Rib Plate and Sausage Plate as well as the Jalapeño Poppers, Red Neck Ravioli (Mac and cheese mixed with Brunswick Stew), Baked Beans and Collards. Bottom line one of, if not the best, BBQ Places in the Savannah area. Absolutely delicious! Next time I am trying their sandwiches!

I got the two meat plate with 2 sides and I really enjoyed my meal. The brisket is definitely a must. The pork was similar to bacon so I might recommend going for a different meat if you are not into that. Service was great and portions are good!

The BBQ was cold, the service was inconsistent, and I wasn't impressed with the sauce options they offered. The sides were just okay. If you're in Savannah, I recommend trying Sandfly BBQ instead; it's much better.

This random stop turned out to be well worth it. This BBQ joint hit the mark with its sweet tea, smoked fried chicken, mac and cheese, and beans—I felt like I was in barbecue heaven. It's the kind of meal where you'll either need to wash your hands afterward or find BBQ sauce lingering with you for the rest of the day!
