They were initially going to give us coleslaw and mashed potatoes, but we ended up with French fries instead of the coleslaw. Unfortunately, the fries box wasn't even filled all the way.
On November 5th, we visited KFC and everything was delicious. The chicken was crispy and not greasy, and the mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and gravy were all great. We've had our share of bad experiences there in the past, but today was fantastic. Hats off to the chef—keep up the good work!
I ordered the 8-piece meal with extra crispy chicken and requested a substitution of 3 breasts and 5 thighs. However, I only received 2 breasts and 6 thighs. To make matters worse, there was hardly any meat on the chicken. It's really disappointing, especially considering that I paid extra for the substitution and the prices are already high. I'm very dissatisfied with my experience.
I ordered a 3-piece chicken breast meal that was meant to include two sides, a biscuit, and a drink. Unfortunately, I only got one side—mashed potatoes. The chicken was undercooked, which was quite disappointing. The KFC in Malta offers a much better experience compared to the one in Saratoga, where customers are not taken for granted. When I called the store to raise my concerns, the employee was rude and even yelled at me for their mistake. I won't be coming back; I’ll be sticking with the KFC in Malta from now on.
As the first customer of the day, I ordered two large fries (one for each member of my party). While waiting, I overheard a joke from the kitchen: “The first customer of the day orders two large fries?” To which the supervisor responded, “Yep, it’s the first of the month, disability day!” They both laughed, and I found this completely inappropriate. It’s not their place to comment on how customers choose to pay for their food. As a retail worker myself, I work hard for every penny, and I felt this could have made someone who was genuinely hungry feel ashamed for ordering food. I tried to let it go and just rolled my eyes about it, but when I went back inside to ask for sauce, the same supervisor barked at me, saying, “The sauce is already in the bag!” While it turned out to be true, I hadn’t even asked for sauce; they just assumed I wanted honey mustard, which I actually don’t like. If he had just given me some Buffalo sauce instead, I might not have said anything. However, as a fellow retail worker, I found the level of unprofessionalism and the cocky attitude toward customers completely unacceptable. The supervisor in question was a Black male in his 20s.
