This is probably the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to! The sauce is fabulous. The chicken Parmigiano is the best I've had. All the dishes on the menu are fantastic. I could eat here every day.
Had a chance on Pazzo after hearing a local recommendation and reading great reviews on Yelp. In summary, 4 stars for exceptional service, and quite delicious pizza and pasta. If you are looking for a comfortable Italian fare, Pazzo is sure to please. Immediately after drawing, I knew that we would love the atmosphere: open air and outdoor eating brought an inviting atmosphere. When we set ourselves, we were immediately greeted by our server Sophia, who was excellent. Warm, real and up to Earth, she quickly asked if we were out of town. We said yes, and she made us feel at home with a few local suggestions during the meal. We started with Mesclun Salat and Calamari as starters. While another in my group ordered the salad, they shaved over the aromas: goat cheese, canned walnuts and balsamico. The Calamari was a generous part and served with lemon and spicy tomato sauce. While I was satisfied, I felt that the bread was a bit bland and had used some seasoning to beat it up and give it some taste. For our main course we ordered the Johnny Mish pizza, spaghetti and meatballs and the weekly special: fattyuccine alfredo. The pizza crust was divine-thin, but stable, but still foldable for only the right bits : The texture was chewing and crispy, and the topping light and filling. I would probably have given it a bit more taste by adding more basil, or some olive oil; but overall the Veggie and riccota Combo was unique and satisfying. I also tried the spaghetti and Alfredo dishes. The spaghetti sauce was really fresh and light, but only the right thickness to keep on all noodles. Finally, the Alfredo was better than anyone I had (although I tend not to order it often). It had the right brightness to add the body to the taste, but still keep it on the lighter side. Ultimately we were really happy with our experience in Pazzo and would highly recommend!
Excellent pizza and a very tasty side of spinach. I got the Johnny Mish and my friend had the uncle Vic (without broccoli). Photos from all below.
I was looking for authentic Italian cuisine and came to the right place! The food was not disappointed! I am a hard critic when I lived in Italy and ate some of the best Italians. If you are looking for delicious, tastefully filled Italian food, Pazzo Southside is the place!
