Tsukiji Sushi Sen - Santa Monica

This cozy restaurant offers limited seating both indoors and outdoors. While the prices are somewhat high, the Bento Box provides a generous amount of food. The salmon was flavorful, and the sushi was fresh. The salad was crisp and accompanied by a delicious ginger dressing. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5/5.

I would say one of the worst sushi spots I have been to. I was told the salmon I had was the belly. Yet it was not it was chewy and still have the skin of the fish. I was disappointed that the server, host, and owner did not take it off the bill as I didn’t eat it and explained why. The server and host said they would check in about it but never came back. So I then spoke with the manager and he lied saying it was the belly. I have eaten sushi before and know what part of the fish I was eating… overpriced not worth it. Super bummed!

We were looking for a sushi place within walking distance. How had we walked by this place and never been in? We were greeted with a warm welcome by the whole staff, seated at a great table and immediately edamame and water were brought to the table. The place is cozy without being cluttered, and attracts a casual clientele that all seemed to be enjoying themselves. We ordered the Brussels sprout fries (which were not greasy and didn't feel fried! , house salad, the red dragon roll, the 911 roll (with brown rice and seaweed salad. Everything was very fresh and delicious! My partner got the green tea ice cream for dessert which looked like a banana split it was so big! We will definitely be back.

We returned to Tsukiji because we adore the atmosphere and the food. Today, we had the pleasure of being served by Chris, who truly excels in customer service. His random voice impressions had us laughing the whole time. I will definitely come back just for Chris!

If you're in search of delicious sushi and excellent service, look no further! This is the spot! Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes. The presentation was so lovely that I hesitated to eat the rolls! The kids ordered ramen and BBQ short ribs, while my husband and I enjoyed crispy rice with spicy tuna, along with a few healthy rolls.
