Contribuiți la feedbackThere were many vegan choices available, all clearly marked. The option to have them prepared for immediate consumption or for later (with plastic wrapping) is also available. I ordered the miso mushroom and hijiki shiitaki dishes to share with my partner, and we both loved them. We plan to order more next time. You have to go inside to place your order, and there is no indoor seating. It can be a bit confusing outside figuring out which line is for ordering and which is for picking up food. However, there is outdoor seating available. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
I love sushi to begin with so this cute take was perfect for an on the go snack or to pack in your back for later. I got the miso mushroom, pea and tofu as well as eggplant. All were fantastic! Will be adding this to my list of favorites for sure
I’ve been here multiple time because it is in my neighborhood. When I go I get one of their rice balls and their mango oolong tea with boba. I would recommend this place to anyone who lives near by it, it’s not worth driving a long way. Overall it’s a nice small place that is booming in business. Updated from previous review on 2021-05-14
The restaurant offers a vegan menu with delicious, authentic onigiri wrapped in Korean-style seaweed. The variety of options was impressive and the warm miso soup was perfect for a foggy day in Santa Monica. Although the rice was a bit mushy, the overall taste was fresh. The service was good and there were a few stools available for seating.
I decided to add this place to HappyCow because they have started labeling the vegan options for their rice balls. Now, you can see on the wall that there are 4 varieties labeled as vegan. However, the preparation area is quite small and both meat and non-meat items are handled together. The rice balls are fist-sized with seaweed and a little bit of filling inside, such as mushroom, hijiki peas and corn, preserved plum, and one other flavor. Each rice ball costs approximately $3.50 to $4.00 and can fill you up as a snack. If you want to make it a full meal, you may need to order three. They also offer complimentary cold tea. The restaurant is cramped with only a few stools for seating. It gets busy on weekends, so you may see people eating while standing outside. (This review was updated on May 1, 2013)
