The host said the bathroom is only available for customers. I understand that this is common in most restaurants and asked if I could order some food (and I was hungry btw). She said (again), bathroom only for customers. I let it be known that I understand it and would like to be a customer and order some food. She said flat outside, not tonight... you're not eating here today. I was taken back while I looked around the faces that stare at me. That's what I said, I was politely out of the restaurant. Well, more than ever, would be a good time for the inhabitants of Los Angeles, especially after what is unfolding in the city hall. This is an absolute shame and unacceptable. I will be sure to spread the word as Rita 's Gate of India treats its customers. I can't help but think if I were a lighter track, the result would be different.
The food here is fantastic! I'm visiting my boys from New York, where I can usually find pretty good Indian food. But Rita?s gate of India has spectacular authentic Indian cuisine. Rita does all cooking and boy can use her spices. She made us a dish from the menu with lamb, coconut lime and curry It was amazing! I know my boys come here often, but I can't wait to visit again. Thanks Rita for a wonderful food experience!!!
The food here is INCREDIBLE. Beautifully seasoned, complex, packed with flavor the kind of food that makes you never want to put your fork down. It may take a bit to get your food as the owner, Rita, runs the entire place on her own. It is well worth the wait. I can?t wait to come back. Highlights include: the samosas (huge, crisp, packed with delicious meat) and the chefs special curry (flavorful, spicy in just the right amount, a great combination of salty, tangy, spicy, sweet a truly beautiful to eat)
5 stars!! The food is absolutely delicious, service is great and a really clean and pretty environment! Definitely worth it and I always have enough food for leftovers! Would recommend :
I visited this restaurant along with my friends on my visit to LA . We ordered chicken biriyani and aachari chicken with naan. The biriyani was more of a tawa pulao but it was tasty, the acchari chicken was however way to sour in taste. Overall its a decent place to have indian food. The owner Rita is more than 70 years old and she puts a lot of effort in running this place.
