New York Bagel Deli - Santa Monica

This place serves some of the best bagels in the city. They also have bialys, which are quite rare to come by. Unlike many other places, the bagels here are substantial, not small. What's great is that this is a dedicated bagel shop rather than just a restaurant that offers bagels as an afterthought. While they do have a few tables, seating can be limited during peak hours. They also provide a variety of drinks, including lattes and smoothies.

Our family absolutely loves this place! If you're looking for delicious bagels and a rich breakfast, you've found the right spot. The staff is incredibly friendly, making it a great choice for families, whether you choose to dine in or take out. My personal favorite is the Veginator sandwich on an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese, but everything we've tried has been delicious. They also offer their signature cream cheese and spreads, as well as lox and ham, if you want to treat yourself at home. The hours are convenient, too! It's a true taste of NYC right here in LA!

While I was waiting, there were a couple of guys behind the counter who turned their backs to the customers for four minutes, completely ignoring us while they worked on orders. To make matters worse, an older woman pushed her way in front of me, and one of the workers let her cut in line without a word. That's three strikes in under four minutes: subpar bagels, poor service, and a contrived New York atmosphere. If you’re looking for authentic bagels, I recommend Bagel Factory, which is just a short distance away on Robertson and Cadillac. They have fantastic, genuine bagels, excellent service, and no fuss.

Pleasant ordering experience. The everything bagel itself wasn't very good. Texture/flavor just not up to par. Good lox spread though. I won't come back.

Best bagels ever! We love them. They are often pretty busy. There is a reason. We have been getting bagels from them for years. Always good!
