Contribuiți la feedbackFirst time at Santa Fe school of cooking. Got a lot of good information about ingredients and cooking techniques. However, I was not a fan of the style of the class. Everybody just sort of mingled around not knowing where they were going or what they were doing and it just seemed a little disorganized to me. I would rather be assigned a task and do it. other than that, no wipes at all. I will say, though I've taken many many cooking classes. All the ones I've been to include a glass of wine once you get to eating. This did not. For what we paid, it seems a little nickel and dime.
Our 2nd of 3 demonstration class days. The school is both fun and informative. Both instructors/chefs have been great and we'll have another different one tomorrow. The owner Nicole is friendly and runs a top notch business! We already plan on returning in the future for more classes.
I don't think I've ever written a bad review but I'm extremely disappointed with the SFSC customer service. In 2021, I enthusiastically purchased a beautiful Chambra pan after attending a SFSC class with a large work group. I have cared meticulously for this pot and yet a significant crack appeared. I immediately communicated with SFSC and today, Susie responded with a message saying that they would not offer a refund or replacement. This is very poor customer service. I think a refund or replacement is very reasonable due to the expense of the cookware and it's short life. Therefore, I cannot recommend the school or the items they sell in their store.
I cannot recommend Nicole and her team highly enough, whether for a class or for a large group buyout for a customized class like we did last month. From start to finish, it was a pleasure and a breeze to work with Nicole. And from start to finish, the class itself was a pleasure and a joy to be involved with. Not only was the instruction during the class top notch and the tips even for our veteran home cooks outstanding, but the quality of the meals we made were excellent. We all agreed that we would make any of the items again at home. Nicole also made some great recommendations for food products from the shop for our group, and they were big hits. She is knowledgeable and her instincts are spot on. I highly recommend the Santa Fe School of Cooking.
This is a review for the Dave 's Jazz Bistro, produced and hosted by the Cooking School each month. It was a jazz band along with a 3 course meal for $200 each including fees and taxes. I took my wife for her birthday and we were put into a table in the very back, sharing it with a couple very nice ladies. Once the show started I realized I could not see the band, so let the host know. Her comment was we oversold the show not I am sorry. Her solution was to drag the table over so I could see, but that meant the other ladies couldn 't see and the servers couldn 't pass our table. So I was left feeling bad for our table mates and servers though it wasn 't my fault. Eventually the ladies were moved to a bar so they could see and they comped a couple drinks for us. The jazz group was amazing, but the food was cold and mediocre. Worst of all, the servers were only tipped based on the drinks you bought and not the food. That was a big surprise to our server but I made sure to give him an extra big tip. There is a lot of attitude at this place by the owner and her daughter with a very high price for mediocre food. Next time we will try to see the fantastic jazz music at another venue. Very disappointing experience. UPDATE: They have given us a refund for our tickets to the show which is very generous. I really appreciate their responsiveness.
