There has been a wait staff shortage everywhere, especially here in Santa Fe for food service workers..... Now: this is the closest to NYC tasting pizza this far east I have ever tasted. The crust is a little tough, thick, and flat...I am assuming from the local water (not their fault). It is delicious and even made me feel a little less homesick. There is a public parking lot about 100 feet BEFORE the truck's location. It is a little overpriced and it's hours aren't accommodating but that has nothing to do with the flavor of the pizza.
Oustanding taste. The crust is on the thin side. It is more NY fold over style. Not my preference for a typical Margherita pizza, but I go back to the area at any time because its best tasting pizza I ever had. Once they open the restaurant with a good hot oven, they will kill..
I?ve lived in NM for a majority of my life and granted I haven?t for some time, This is the best pizza I?ve ever had in this state; hands down. Heck, it?s even good in regards to pizza I?ve had in the rest of the world. I had a good long discussion with the owner/family about their techniques and they were surprised by my knowledge level. They prefer a biga preferment for their dough which adds an amazing depth of flavor to their crust. Wood fired at 900° to give that little bit of char on the bottom. They do use a 65-70% (estimated by the texture feel) hydration so if you?re expecting a crispy slice that has zero flop, this isn?t it. Im not saying that as bad thing though. Their sauce was on point, not to sweet or bland. It added excellent flavor to the overall pie. The one fault I will give it is the cheese they used. It was full fat, which is good, but unfortunately using 100% full fat mozz generally makes for a pretty greasy slice. Though it could have been exacerbated by the pepps, it was still noticeable. BUT HEY, it?s pizza. Some of that is expected. This is a solid pizza that shouldn?t be skipped. However their hours are somewhat bonkers and inconsistent. 11-3pm/4pm is kinda hard for people to make so you?ll have to take a special trip. Not something you can pick up on your way home for dinner..
It really is easily the best pizza in Santa Fe or Albuquerque by extension, Taos) so fresh flavorful expertly crafted. Hot tip: get an extra cheese with artichoke pesto, like this, and you will gobble down the whole thing by yourself and not regret it!
Hello everyone. Well....I can not say that they don 't have great pizza because that it is. However, the nasty attitude of the woman there is enough for me not to go back. It was not only a one time incident and her telephone manners are atrocious. Onlineorders cost more FYI but having any questions for her is obviously too big a problem. For an owner you would think for a truckyou would want better reviews! Good luck ya 'll! BTW I sent this and got a reply...just because my name isn 't in your system doesn 't mean WE didn 't order from there and have one of your special punch cards. I don 't put reviews for no purpose. Thecustomer service from the woman is horrible wasn 't complaining about the food or well just the awful experiences we have had onthe phone and in person more than once and I keep telling him NO More but apparently he thought it was just a bad day but morethan once is enough for me to let the bad taste of attitude take away the great experience it would have been....the pizza isgood just I don 't give business to people who don 't belong in it. Ciao
