Bell Tower At La Fonda On The Plaza

Beautiful sunset views over Santa Fe. The atmosphere is fantastic, but be sure to arrive long before sunset! It's definitely a popular spot!

THE HOTEL GUESTS ARE NOT A PRIORITY. This issue could be easily resolved, but the hotel shows a lack of concern for its guests. One would expect that with the high prices guests are paying, they would be afforded some reserved seating. I’m not suggesting that the entire rooftop should be available to hotel guests, but it would be reasonable to allocate a portion of the seating for their reservations. I hope the hotel can come up with a better plan moving forward.

The view is absolutely stunning. However, be prepared for a wait of over 20 minutes to get a table, as the restaurant seemed to be understaffed. Once we were seated, it took a considerable amount of time for someone to take our order, and our drinks took nearly as long to arrive. Additionally, they were out of the first two cocktails we attempted to order.

Cute bar with cool beats and nice servers. The drinks are surprisingly good given the main selling point is sunset. (At least in NYC, places with views seems to skimp a little on drink quality. That being said I think the view is not amazing and the sun issuper hot at sunset, as it is in many places in Santa Fe! Definitely worth a visit though for the overall ambiance!

Overall, I'd say this bar is exactly what you might imagine. There's an awesome view and the prices are pretty comparable to most other bars in the area with the obvious extra couple of dollars you pay for the view. We had the Jungle Bird for 2, whichwas really tasty, so no complaints there. However, we seemed to be forgotten about for a good 25 minutes. We waited so long thatwe had to flag down the manager just to close our tab. I think there's a lot of potential here, but management of the spacecould be better.
