Waterline - Santa Barbara

Inside, you'll find a small eatery, a winery, two brewhouses, a boutique, and various hidden office suites. The two beautifully designed side patios provide inviting spaces for guests from all walks of life. My company hosts its annual holiday party here, and it's always a success — the venue is large, well-lit, and undeniably cool. Santa Barbara could definitely benefit from more redevelopment projects like this one.

I was out running errands in Sb and stopped by The Waterline based on a friend's recommendation. It's a really cool spot with plenty of friendly staff to assist you with menu choices. I decided to try the popular rockfish tacos, and they were delicious! They also offer an excellent selection of local wines and beers. I opted for a rosé after chatting with the knowledgeable bartender. Additionally, the restaurant supports local artists, so after my meal, I took some time to explore the current art installation. One of the featured artists is David J. Diamant, whose exhibit is titled Sunset Surfers. I’m not sure why it’s reported as closed, but it is definitely OPEN! As of March 11, 2020.

It's a fun place to enjoy a meal along with a glass of wine or beer. Although the shop portion has unfortunately closed, the overall atmosphere of the building is still a great spot to relax and hang out.

Crowded and hot! Food was good. Impossible burger, brisket sandwich and buttered noodles for the kids. You can order food and eat in the wine or beer tasting room. Three stars because of crowdedness and heat-not a great combo!

Torn between a 3 and a 4 star rating. We had fish tacos. The fish was well prepared. It was $14 for 3 small fish tacos. I felt for $14 they could have included rice or something that didn't have me going home still hungry . The tacos were supposed to come with pico or salsa which they didn't. They looked anemic. A piece of fish a tinny bit off cabbage and a small piece of avocado that had seen better days. I will say the flavor was good and I'm pretty sure from the looks of the other plates I saw that the food is good here. I'm going to come back try something else and update my review.
