Chapter One: The Modern Local

Enjoyed it thoroughly! Had the lumpia, delicious. We have the shrimp taquitos, yummy( more upscale version taquitos) nice flavor. Had a chicken Caesar salad. Delicious as well. The drinks were also good. Enjoyed the watermelon drink can't remember the name and my husband had the Bloody Mary. He said the Bloody Mary was ok. They didn't skimp On alcohol but it wasn't the best in our opinion. Definitely try it out for yourself! Nice little spot!

We had a lovely dinner with great service. My husband had a delicious steak salad and I had the ribeye with mash potatoes and veggies. Both were extremely good and cooked perfectly. The staff is on point and friendly.

Chapter One: the modern local was a superb culinary experience with extraordinary customer service. I highly recommend this restaurant not only to residents of Orange County, but to all who are visiting Santa Ana and its diverse museums and cultural milieu, and are looking for a top-notch restaurant in which to dine.

First you should know that parking on weekends is $16 flat rate or $22 covered lot! The noise level is off the charts, the restaurant is dark and the booths and tables felt sticky and dirty. Service was abysmal. After being seated, We waited for over 15 minutes without being acknowledged and finally left! The server looked at us leaving and just shrugged! Great customer service!

Their Sangrias are amazing! Lobe coming here for lunch or dinner. The vibe is always calm and the food is usually very good.
