Fishermen's View Seafood Market

I made a reservation for 2 people at 1:00 on a Thursday in July. Unfortunately, I had to cancel at 9:30 a.m. on the same day because my dining companion couldn't make it last minute. It was just the two of us, and it was a lovely Thursday in July, so I'm sure they had no trouble filling the table. However, their policy is to charge $25.00 per person and the manager seemed unaware of this when I called to cancel. She said she would speak to the general manager and call me back, but I never received a call. My credit card was charged $50.00, which seems like a nice little side hustle for them. I'm sure the hardworking staff are not involved in this policy. Just a heads up, if you make a reservation, either keep it or be prepared to pay. Great atmosphere though!

The restaurant was bustling with activity. We opted to sit outside without a reservation. During the 40-minute wait, we enjoyed a drink while listening to a singer/guitarist. The restaurant is situated right by the water, offering a stunning view of the coastline and occasional passing boats. The service was slow and lacking overall. On the other hand, the food, especially the seafood, was exceptional. My wife's fried clams were possibly the best we've ever had. My fish and chips were also delicious. Despite the subpar service, we had a lovely time on a beautiful summer evening. We would consider returning for the quality of the food and the picturesque setting.

The restaurant has beautiful indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed live music outside during our visit. We ordered the fish and chips which were delicious, as well as the sea scallops which were juicy and tender with a light batter. Both dishes came with generous portions of French fries and coleslaw. We had dinner on the outdoor veranda with a great view of the Cape Cod channel.

It can not be better than this place for views, service, menu selection, quality of food and price. I am totally sold! I came here only based on TripAdvisor reviews and a quick scan of the menu that day before driving to sandwich, ma. I should have booked to sit outside but nevertheless, sat inside still with a sufficient view of the water where fishing boats run. this belongs to two fishermen, so the seafood is really boot too table. general portions still presented cleanly on plates (not like heaping-serving-dumped-on-plate). the price is fair. I was in restaurants with appetizers and entrees price about the same, but what quality gamuts in comparison. our guests from the city were very happy; they can not stop thanking us for choosing this place by having their experience 5 stars we ordered jonah crab and artichoke dip plus side of the truffle rosemary shoestring fries. so good. the bad came with her home made kartoffel chips. so much carb to begin with and oh-so-good. then came the grilled asparagus and arugula salat. the ankle sandwich is perfect, as it has meat of humnips; my favorite part. we also had the broiled scallops; the butter and the garlic on which it sits is so good; I knew my Jonah Crab Melt sandwich on it (hahahahaha). of course, the Jonah-Kreb-Schmelz sandwich did not disappoint; delicate meaty with melted cheese. Nobody complains about it. this place is quite epic! I want to go all the way back. it's one of my hotties when I have extra-city guests.

This has been our go-to restaurant for visiting family for the 5 years we’ve been here. Never had anything other than great service. Solid menu selection, great for a taste of Cape Cod. Right on the canal brings beautiful views.
