All that could be tasted was the strong citric acid in the tomato sauce. I don't know what happened - I used to love Stefano's. I grew up in the valley and would have it nearly every day after school. But they have really gone downhill.
I understand that times are tough, but when you're paying the same prices for a pepperoni pizza, you expect to get enough pepperoni to cover the extra-large pizza! It's absurd. We try to support our local pizza place by purchasing food from them at least once a week with our limited funds. I wish I could show you a picture of our pizza. We were very disappointed and unsure if we will buy from here again.
I ordered a XL pizza on regular crust but received a paper-thin pizza instead, which was quite disappointing. The toppings were delicious, but I was left with a huge pizza that had very little cheese due to the lack of crust.
These are some of the hardest working professionals I have ever seen. My family and I just enjoyed another outstanding meal from Stefano's Terra Linda. They were busy when I picked up my order because it's Friday night, but they went out of their way to make sure that I was taken of along with many other customers. Thank You Stefano's!
TLDR: Operations difficulties (errors in pizza, closing before time while still allowing online orders to go through, poor communication). Poor mask hygiene by an employee. Not a comforting thought for a small, hot building with people making food for the public during a pandemic. Hands down best pizza in San Rafael (5 stars for pizza taste). Day to day operations lately has been rough. Ordered a pizza online for delivery and nobody showed up, nobody contacted. Satoutside my apartment waiting for 45 minutes thinking the driver got lost. Tried calling and no one picked up. No one contacted me the next day. Had to go in person. It?s a pandemic, things happen, and I can imagine it?s rough owning abusiness right now so didn?t hold it against them, just asked for a refund and ordered a pizza to go. Bummed out that tonight had another set of mishaps, though it looked like the workers were young so I wanted to give them a break (nosalt in the pizza dough and left me waiting on the phone line) The mask issue is too much. Loosely wearing a mask below your nose and with a poor mouth seal isn?t going to do much to protect yourself or others. If they need new masks, I?mhappy to donate some. Secure fit by having a nice seal covering around nose and under chin. If straps are too long, you can twist them a few times, or better still replace the mask.
