La Hacienda San Rafael

The food is delicious, and the menu is quite extensive. They offer classic dishes like shredded beef, as well as favorites like carne asada. The restaurant has very convenient hours, including being open on Sundays.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the North Bay, and I admit I find myself going there several times a week! It just hits the spot for me.

I frequently pick up DoorDash deliveries from this place. The staff is friendly, and parking is convenient. There's usually a good crowd inside.

Really good Mexican food and good price too. I've lived nearby for years and I've always seen this place from the highway, but never thought of stopping by. Because of the pandemic, we started buying from there, and now I go to pick up and have eaten inside. You have a really good selection of menu options and some you usually do not find in other Mexican restaurants such as Chimichanca . The only trick if you don't eat is to ask them to place pages separately. We noticed that especially for food fried like Chimichanca it is softened if you do not eat immediately.

Right off the freeway, and pretty easy access down a frontage road. Discovered it at random, seeing the the sign from Highway 101. I had the regular chicken burrito and it was delicious. The three salsas they give with the tasty chips also tasty (the green my favorite). Festive atmosphere and music, friendly service. Give it a try if you are in San Rafael or travelling on 101.
